US-Bangla Airlines to launch Dhaka-Rajshahi flights today

RAJSHAHI, July 10 (BSS): US-Bangla Airlines Ltd, a new private airlines company, is scheduled to formally launch domestic flights operations on Rajshahi-Dhaka-Rajshahi route tomorrow (Saturday).
The airline will initially operate four weekly flights- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday- on the route.
Earlier, national flag-carrier Bangladesh Biman re-launched three weekly flights- Friday, Sunday and Tuesday- on the route on April 7 last after a lapse of long eight years.
The new airline launched business to tap growing air traffic on local routes as the number of passengers is growing steadily over the years and tourism is increasingly becoming popular among middle income people.
Sheikh Sadi Shishir of US-Bangla Airline's Media and Communication Wing told the local journalists that the airlines will arrange special transports equipped with Wi-Fi for passengers to and from Rajshahi.
The large, fast, quiet and fuel-efficient turboprops would provide an ideal balance of passenger comfort with a reduced environmental footprint, he further said.
The fares for a one-way trip from Rajshahi to Dhaka will be Tk 3,200 including taxes, he added.
