US-Canada garment co to invest $5.2m in Adamjee EPZ

A US-Canada joint venture company, namely M/s Accessories World Ltd will set up a garment accessories manufacturing unit in Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ), according to a press release.
This one hundred per cent foreign-owned company will invest US$ 5.2 million and produce hanger, hanger sticker, plastic furniture, plastic toys, plastic tools, household items and other plastic items.
The company will create employment opportunity for 231 Bangladeshi and three foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s Accessories World Ltd in BEPZA Complex in the city Tuesday.
Among others, Executive Chairman of BEPZA Brig General Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf and its General Manager (Investment Promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman were present at the signing ceremony.
