A Bangladeshi woman has been killed in her sleep after a car crashed into her home in the US, reports bdnews24.com.
The deceased has been identified as 36-year old Srabonit Haque Bipasha, who lived with her husband and two sons on Volcano Street in Salem, Oregon.
Alan Patrick Jacobs, 54, lost control of his car and ploughed into the house while making a turn, according to a statement by the Salem Police Department reported by US news outlet KGW.
Srabonti was killed on the spot, but her husband and sons were uninjured.
"Actually it's a tragic accident... he went through several walls and the victim was asleep in her residence, there was zero warning for her," Salem Police Lt Dave Okada told news outlet KATU.
Neighbours brought flowers to support the family after the accident.
"My daughter went to school with [the woman's sons], it's just really heart-wrenching to think they have go on without their mom," one neighbour told KATU.
Police say Jacobs has not been arrested and is cooperating with the investigation. However, they will be continuing their investigation.
