US congressman praises women empowerment

Congressman Sheila Jackson Lee, a senior member of the US Congress Homeland Security, has appreciated the government for its remarkable successes in women empowerment in Bangladesh, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh is a role-model for its remarkable achievements in women empowerment," she said when Bangladesh ambassador to the United States (US) Mohammad Ziauddin met her at the Capitol Hill Tuesday, according to a message received in Dhaka from Washington Wednesday.
