US delegation visits Bipsot

A US delegation, led by US Acting Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs Tom Kelly and US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena, visited Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (Bipsot) at Rajendrapur Cantonment in Gazipur on Monday. The delegation was received by Bipsot Commandant Major General Mohammad Maksudur Rahman. The visiting team exchanged views on various peace support affairs with the Bipsot commandant. The delegation was briefed on the role of Bangladesh Armed Forces in UN Peacekeeping Operations and with a short run down on the various training activities of Bipsot. The team visited the indoor and outdoor training facilities of Bipsot, according to a news agency.
