US Embassy in Dhaka to remain closed on July 15 & 19-20

The United States Embassy in Dhaka will remain closed on Wednesday in observance of Shab-e-Quadr and Sunday-Monday (July 19-20) to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. These closures include the Consular Section and the American Center’s Archer K. Blood Library and Education USA Student Advising Center. However, emergency services for American citizens will be available through the duty officer (phone 55662000), according to, a press release.
