US envoy likely to inaugurate eco-park at Sukbilash today

RANGAMATI, May 8 (BSS): US Ambassador to Bangladesh James F Moriarty is likely to inaugurate a sanctuary and eco-park at Sukbilash forests under Razasthali Upazila of the district tomorrow (Sunday).
The Ministry of Environment and Forests has been implementing the project of sanctuary and eco-park for conserving wildlife and bio-diversity at a cost of Tk 180 million.
USAID has provided financial support under its ongoing Integrated Protected Area Community programme.
The eco-park would also comprise an artificial lake, a tourism tower, eco-cottages, a nature conservation centre and provision of various types of entertainments for tourists apart from safe abode of the wildlife, he added.
