WASHINGTON, Feb 01 (Commodity Online): After imposing duties on China's steel pipes, the US has decided to impose antidumping duties on electric blanket products from China.
The US Commerce Department in a preliminary ruling said blankets imported from Hung Kuo Electronics (Shenzhen) Co Ltd, Ningbo V.K. Industry & Trading Co Ltd, Ningbo Jifa Electrical Appliances Co Ltd and Ningbo Jinchun Electric Appliances Co Ltd will have to pay an anti-dumping duty of 90.32 per cent, while all the other electric products from China will have to face a rate as high as 174.85 per cent.
The Commerce Department will make the final decision on the anti-dumping duties in June and then the US International Trade Commission will cast a final vote in July or early August before the duties go into effect.
