US market seen as great opportunity for pharma export

Large market of the USA could be a great opportunity for export of the pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh.
This was stated by Mr. Parvez Hashim, Executive Director (Operations) of Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd at a city seminar recently, said a press release issued Sunday.
The Department of Pharmacy of the East West University organised the seminar on "Manufacturing, Regulations and Marketing of Pharmaceuticals: Prospects and Challenges" on April 30, 2015 at Aftabnagar.
Minister of the Health and Family Welfare Mohammed Nasim and Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Syed Monjurul Islam who is also the President of the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh, were present as the chief guest and the special guest, on the occasion.
Hashim also informed the seminar that two big companies in the country, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Beximco pharmaceuticals have already completed the first step successfully towards the US Food and Drug Authority (FDA) approval'.
 He also told about the challenges on the way to fulfill the requirements.
The Minister, Mohammed Nasim assured about the government's full cooperation on this aspect. The minister mentioned that Bangladesh government will  help in importing raw materials and other machineries as needed in the process.
