US mission gets new Dy Chief

David Meale has joined the US embassy in Dhaka as its new Deputy Chief of Mission. He was the Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, the embassy has said in a media release. Meale has been in the US foreign service for over 20 years now. He has served as Deputy Director of the Office of Monetary Affairs in the Economic Bureau, apart fulfilling other overseas assignments. He served in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Guinea, on the Israel Desk in Washington, and, as a student, at the National Defense University, according to bdnews24.com.
