US mission in Dhaka closed today

The American Embassy, including the Consular Section and the American Center with the Archer K Blood American Center Library and the Education USA Student Advising Center, have remained closed today on the occasion of the 44th Independence Day, a national holiday in Bangladesh. However, emergency services for American citizens are available (call 885-5500 to speak with the duty officer), according to a media release.
