US to work together with BD to achieve common goals: Obama

US President Barak Obama has said his country would continue to work together with Bangladesh in strengthening the bilateral relations, and for achieving common goals of the two countries, reports UNB.
The President stated this when newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Mohammad Ziauddin presented his credentials to him Thursday, according to a message received here on Friday.
President Obama welcomed the Ambassador in the Oval Office of the White House, and received his credential papers.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Ziauddin conveyed to President Obama the warm greetings of President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh and also their warm invitation to him to visit Bangladesh at the earliest convenience.
He said Bangladesh and USA enjoy the best of relations and that the USA has been to Bangladesh a time tested, trusted and reliable partner in its development and progress.
