WASHINGTON, Sept 20 (AFP): The boss of US toy giant Mattel Inc. said yesterday he would go to China this month to check that new safety procedures are in place after a series of recalls on toys feared tainted by lead paint.
Chairman and chief executive Robert Eckert told a congressional committee he would make clear his expectations for safe toys used by millions of American children to the company's Chinese partners.
