USAID praises BD for attaining MDGs

Acting USAID Administrator Alfanso E Lenhardt on Sunday lauded the government of Bangladesh for accomplishing enviable successes in attaining many of the MDG goals, particularly in the areas of health and women empowerment. Sharing his experience of visiting a community clinic in a remote village in Bagerhat district, he applauded Bangladesh’s tremendous progress in health sector both in terms of quality of services and grassroots level coverage. The appreciation came when the visiting USAID administrator met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the latter's office in the city, a foreign ministry press release said.
