Use info right to build sustainable nation: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inusaid on Thursday that there were 25 thousand government portals and requested citizens to make full use of it under the Right to Information Act, reports BSS.
He was speaking at a seminar at the Shilpakala Academy on the occasion of International Information Right Day following a colourful rally in the morning from the National Press Club to the Shilpakala Academy.
"A vigilant citizenry was the foundation of a vibrant democracy," the minister said.
The minister said that by using the information window and right to information law people could ensure the development of a corruption-free and equitable society.
The chief information commissioner Dr Golam Rahman urged the government departments to update their web portals so that people could remain updated.
