Uttar Baridhara Club relegated to Champs League

Uttar Baridhara Club relegated from Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League as they suffered a humiliating 0-6 goals defeat against newly crowned Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in their penultimate Premier League match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday, reports UNB.
With the day's debacle, Uttar Baridhara Club remained at the bottom in the 10-team league bagging only 12 points from 26 matches and relegated to the Premier Bank Bangladesh Championship League with one match to spare against Muktijoddha Sangsad KC billed for July 26.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, which confirmed the league title in the previous match with two matches to spare, further improved their position securing 61 points from 26 matches while Abahani Limited were in distant 2nd position with 49 points from 25 encounters.
Striker Sakhawat Hossain Rony made a hat-trick scoring three goals in the 7th, 24th and 89th minutes while Haitian forward Wedson Anselme netted twice in the 17th and 91st minutes and Toklis Ahmed scored the remaining goal for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 78th minute.
Forward Sakhawat Hossain Rony put Jamal ahead in the 6th minute. Rony intercepted and took control of the ball after snatching it from an opponent defender and hit the far post net with an angular shot (1-0).
Haitian forward Wedson Anselme doubled the margin in the 16th minute with a solo effort. The tall forward, taking a ball from the midfield, dodged past two opponent defenders and sent the ball into the net with a right footer from the middle of the box (2-0).
Sakhawat Hossain Rony scored his second and third for Jamal in the 24th minute, playing one-two with partner Toklis Rony completing the job with a right footed grounder from the edge of the box (3-0).
Wedson, in the 60th minute curved a free kick from 20 yards out but Baridhara keeper Osman Goni managed to tip the ball over the crosspiece.
Four minutes later, Osman denied Toklis with a reflex save, Tokilis flicked a Rony cut back sent from the right flank.
In the 72nd minute, Rony missed his hat-trick as he failed to head a Toklis cross in the open net from the top of the six yard club.
Toklis took the tally to four in the 77th minute with a solo effort, running in with neat through pass of Raihan Hasan, and beat onrushing Osman Goni in the far post with a delicate touch (4-0).
However, Rony succeeded to complete his hat-trick in the 89th minute when he volleyed a Toklis cross into the middle of the net (5-0).
Wedson completed the rout in the 90th minute with 20-yarder (6-0).
