Uzbek GM makes good start in Six Seasons GM Chess

Uzbek GM Iuldachev Saidali made a good start in the Six Seasons Grandmasters Chess Tournament beating local FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman Emon in 59 moves in the first round that began at the Tulip Hall of Uttara in the city Tuesday, reports UNB.
In the day's first round matches, FM Abu Sufian Shakil of Bangladesh Biman drew with Indian GM Dibyendu Barua after 15th move, FM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny 2000 drew with Indian IM Sahaj Grover after 59th move, FM Kh. Aminul Islam drew with GM Niaz Murshed of Bangladesh Biman, and Indian IM Saptarshi Roy Chowdhury drew with compatriot Praveen Kumar.
Ten players, including three Grand Masters, two International Masters and four Fide Masters, are taking part in the nine-round robin league tournament. Out of possible nine points, seven points will be required for a GM norm and 5.5 points for IM norm.
The 2nd round matches will be held today (Wednesday) the same venue from 10:00 am. The matches are: Sagar vs Niaz, Emon vs Aminul, Dibyendu vs Saidali, Praveen vs Shakil and Sahaj vs Saptarshi.
