Valuables looted from bus passengers, 10 injured

MYMENSINGH, Apr 8 (UNB): Robbers in guise of passengers looted valuables worth Tk 0.2 million from a bus on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway injuring 10 people Wednesday.
Of the injured, Kamrul Hasan (22), Al Amin (35) and Shahadat Hossain (45) were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
The passengers said when the Sherpur-bound bus coming from Dhaka crossed the Mouna Chourasta, the bandits numbering 8-10 suddenly took the driver and the passengers of the bus hostage at gunpoint.
They also beat and stabbed the passengers indiscriminately and looted valuables worth Tk 0.2 million, including cash and mobile phone sets.
After committing robbery, the muggers got down from the bus without any obstruction near Bhaluka area.
