Valuables looted from house in Sylhet

Robbers looted valuables from the house of a local influential man at Gopaltila in Tilagarh in Sylhet city on Thursday. Local sources said a gang of robbers swooped on the house of Dipak Roy, convener of Shahparan thana unit Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal and kept the house inmates hostage at gunpoint at night. The bandits looted valuables, including three tolas of gold ornament and Tk 35,000 in cash from the house and decamped with the booty. Some of the family members were injured as they tried to resist the robbers, according to a news agency.
