Valuables looted from house injuring 2

Robbers looted cash and other valuables from a house at Tirashi village in Dakkhin Surma Upazila in Sylhet on Friday. Locals said a gang of 8-10 robbers stormed the house of Delwar Mia and tied up three inmates of the house around 4:30pm. Later the robbers looted Tk 0.3 million, three tolas of gold ornaments, three mobile phone sets and other valuable items from the house. Two people, including Afsa Begum, 47, and Sumaiya, 15, were injured when they tried to resist the robbers. Police said that Delwar’s neighbour Dulal Mia, with whom the victim has a long-standing enmity, might be the perpetrator of the crime, according to a news agency.
