VAT collection drive thru' business assocs at B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Feb 11: Brahmanbaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Brahmanbaria Shop Owners' Association (BSOA) and Customs, Excise and VAT Circle, Brahmanbaria in a joint meeting held recently in the district town resolved to implement the VAT programme through the business associations.
The meeting was held at the Customs, Excise and VAT Circle Office in the town. Customs Assistant Commissioner, Comilla Md Salah Uddin Ripon presided over the meeting.
For VAT realisation from the local shop owners and VAT registration, it was decided to execute all the programmes through the business associations.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by President BCCI Md Farid Uddin Ahmed, its Vice President Azizul Hoque, and business leaders Mizanur Rahman and Ajit Roy.
