Vegetables cultivation in 7,225 hectares in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Dec 26(BSS): Cultivation of different kinds of vegetables of the current winter season in all the four upazilas of the district is going on in full swing.
During this season, 7,225 hectars of land have been brought under vegetable cultivation in all the four upazilas of Chuadanga sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar.
According to an official source, vegetables have been so far cultivated on 2,500 hectors in Chuadanga sadar upazila, 1,200 hectares in Alamdanga upazila, 1675 hectors in Damurhuda upazila and 1850 hectors in Jibannagar upazila.
So far over 50,000 metric tons of vegetables like brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage, radish, lalshak, palong shak and other vegetables have been produced in the district during the current season.
