Vegetables price falls in Tangail market

TANGAIL, Oct 1: The retail price of vegetables and green chili has decreased due to increased supply in the market.
The retail price of vegetables including squash, brinjal, potato, carrot, onion has been reduced by Tk 5.00 to 10 per kg in the local markets, sources said.
The retail price of rice and other essentials decreased by just Tk 1.00 to 2.00 per kg.
The price of coarse rice in different markets of the district is Tk 19 to 22 per kg which was previously between Tk 21 to 23 per kg.
The current price of onion is Tk 30 to 35 per. It was earlier Tk 35 to 40 per kg. Potato was selling at Tk 18 to 20 per kg.
The price of I kg packet of flour was earlier priced between Tk 30 to 32. Now it is being sold at Tk 28 to 30 per kg.
Lentil (Indian) is being sold at Tk 62 to 65, but last week it was Tk 65 to 70 per kg.
The price of all kinds of cooking oil is almost stable in the market.
