Venezuela to support BD candidature to CEDAW

Venezuela has confirmed its support for Bangladesh’s candidature to the Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and assured to arrange support for Bangladesh’s candidature to the Human Rights Council. Outgoing Venezuelan Ambassador to Bangladesh with residence in New Delhi Milena Santana-Ramirez conveyed it to Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali during a meeting at his office on Tuesday, according to a news agency.
