Verdict in rotten wheat case July 18

The judgment in the rotten wheat scam of Fatullah thana will be delivered on July 18. Judge Shamsumnnahar of the special makeshift court at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, trying high profile corruption suspects, set the date Thursday after closing the arguments made by the Anti-corruption Commission and the defence lawyers. The accused in the case are detained Fatullah thana Officer-in-Charge (suspended) Ashraful Islam, suspended sub-inspectors Enamul Huq and Miraz Al Mahmud, and production manager Mustafizur Rahman and assistant manager Zakir Hossain of Abul Khair Group. —UNB
