Victory Day Kabaddi begins in city

Bangladesh Army got off to a brilliant start as they thrashed Bangladesh Jail team by 45-12 in one of the inaugural match of the Victory Day Kabaddi Competition at the Kabaddi Stadium Wednesday, reports BSS.
Title aspirants Bangladesh Army were in impressive form as they earned three 'lona' on the way to a massive win.
In the day's other fixture, title contender Border Guard Bangladesh hardly had to sweat as they cruised past Under- 25 Trainees of national team by 33-19 points.
They earned two creditable 'lona,' Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Kutubuddin Ahmed formally inaugurated the three-day meet. He thanked Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BFF) for organising Kabaddi competition to celebrate the Victory Day.
Kutub in his speech said, "It is indeed worth praising BFF to honour the brave Freedom Fighters who laid down their lives during the Liberation War. By organising this meet I also thanked Ministry of Liberation Affairs for coming forward to provide help and assurance to BFF for organising this tournament to celebrate the Victory Day.
Kabaddi is our national game , I am sure all the participants in this meet will try their best to bring laurels for Bangladesh in international meet."
