HANOI, Dec 13 (Xinhua): Vietnam is considering two locations for the construction of its first pumped storage power plant to cope with electricity shortage at peak hours, according to local newspaper Vietnam Economic Times today.
If the plant is built in northern Son La province, it will have capacity of 1,400 MW. Total investment is estimated at 832 million US dollars, said its investor the Vietnam Electricity (EVN), the country's biggest electricity producer and sole distributor.
