HANOI, Dec 10 (Xinhua): Vietnam will establish and expand 22 industrial parks next year, covering 4,500 hectares, local newspaper Vietnam Investment Review reported today.
Vietnam will build 109 new industrial parks and expand 30 existing ones by 2015, the paper quoted a recent report of the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The country will boost the infrastructure development of industrial parks, especially in key economic zones, to lure more foreign direct investment. A total investment of about 4.6 billion US dollars is predicted to be pumped into industrial park development projects next year, the ministry said.
Vietnam's 154 industrial parks, covering 32,808 hectares of land, have attracted more than 2,600 foreign-invested projects worth 25.3 billion US dollars.
