Village doctor killed in Mymensingh

A village doctor was killed allegedly by his niece at Tarati Kolakanda village at Muktagacha upazila in Mymensingh on Thursday afternoon. The victim was Nasir Uddin, 50, son of late Abdus Sattar of Tarati Kolakanda. Police said, Nasir Uddin's wife Shafia Khatun locked in a quarrel with their niece Johura Khatun over family matters around 4.00pm. As Nasir Uddin tried to minimize the matter, Johura hit on his head with a huge cutter, wounding him critically, Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station said. Nasir was rushed to Muktagacha Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries around 5.00pm, according to BSS.
