Village head among 2 kidnapped in Rangamati

Miscreants abducted two people, including a village head, in Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati district early Tuesday. The victims were identified as Ramani Mohon, village head of Nalbunia village, and Arun Bikash Chakma, a resident of Baro Durchhari village in the upazila. Azizul Haque, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station, said a gang miscreants stormed the house of Ramani Mohon at Nalbunia village in the dead of night and picked up him at gunpoint. The miscreants picked up Arun Bikash Chakma in the same way from Baro Durchhari village at the same time. Being informed, police launched a drive to rescue the victims, according to UNB.
