Village policeman ‘takes his life’ in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, Oct 17 (UNB): A village police man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Khagrakhuri village in Sadar Upazila Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain Delu (56), son of late Nifazuddin.
Sadar thana SI Ripon Bala said family members found his hanging body in the morning and informed police. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
Delu had been suffering from various health problems and he had an operation for his vision problem two months back, he said quoting family members.
