Villagers\\\' clash kills 1

A man was killed in a clash between two groups of villagers over land in Ramgati upazila in Lakshmipur district on Tuesday night. The dead is Sekandar Hossain, a resident of Charporagachha village. Witnesses said there had been a longstanding dispute between Zaher Majhi and Sekandar Hossain over the ownership of a piece a land. On Tuesday afternoon following an altercation, a group of 10-12 supporters of Zaher Majhi attacked Sekandar Hossain with lethal weapons at the village, leaving him severely injured. He was rushed to Ramgati upazila health complex where Sekandar succumbed to his injuries around 9:00pm, according to UNB.
