Villagers\\\' clash kills one in Comilla

COMILLA, May 15 (UNB): A man was beaten to death in a clash between two groups of villagers at Koiardhari village in Chauddagram on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Halim,45, a resident of the village.
Police said the clash ensued following an altercation between Din Islam,18, son of Abdul Halim, and Parvez, 20, during a friendly football match in a field at the village.
Parvez beat Abdul Halim mercilessly when he along with Din Islam was returning from village heads demanding an arbitration over the issue, leaving him seriously injured. Local people rescued him and he was shifted to hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
