Viqarunnissa clinch Women's College Handball title

Viqarunnissa Noon School and College clinched the title of the 13th Delta Life Women's College Handball beating Siddheswari Girls College by 4-2 goals in the final at Handball Stadium in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
This was the sixth and 2nd consecutive title for Viqarunnissa Noon School & College since their participation in the women's college handball meet in 1993.
In the day's final, Viqarunnissa Noon School & College led the first session 2-0.
Bitasta and Dina scored two goals each for the winners while Setu and Tuni netted one goal each for the losers.
Pinky of Viqarunnissa Noon School & College was adjudged the best player while Siddheswari College custodian Zaira named the best goal keeper of the meet to receive Tk 2,000 each as prize money.
Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni MP was the chief guest at the day's closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.
Chairman of the tournament's sponsor Delta life Insurance Company Limited Syed Moazzem Hossain was the special guest at the function, chaired by Bangladesh Handball Federation President AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul. Handball Federation general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor was also present.
Eden Girls College finished 3rd in the meet.
