Virtual SME product fair kicks off

A month-long virtual SME product fair 2021 began on Monday, aiming to promote the products of small and medium-sized enterprises located across the country.
The virtual trade show is expected to facilitate greater interaction among the stakeholders and help the entrepreneurs embrace digital platforms to boost their businesses.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Foundation (SMEF) has organised the event for the first time with technical support from various platforms like a2i and ekShop, a statement said.
SMEF Chairperson Dr Md Masudur Rahman formally inaugurated the fair virtually on Monday. The launching ceremony was moderated by Dr. Md. Mafizur Rahman, Managing Director of the Foundation.
Members of the SMEF board of directors, officials and entrepreneurs joined the event.
Entrepreneurs from all eight divisions of the country can participate in the fair without any entry fee using online platform -- www.smemelabd.com.
