Vocalist Pilu Momtaz dies

Noted singer, radio and television artiste Pilu Momtaz died of a cardiac arrest at the city's Apollo Hospital in the early hours of Monday. She was 52, reports BSS. She left behind her husband and only daughter. Pilu Momtaz felt pain in the chest at about 1.30am and was immediately taken to the hospital. After one hour of treatment, the attending doctors pronounced her dead. Meanwhile, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad expressed his deep shock at her death.
