VoIP materials worth Tk 10m seized

Officials from Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) seized VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) materials worth Tk 10 million (1.0 crore) from a house at Paltan in the city Sunday. On a tip-off, the country's telecom regulator, in assistance with law-enforcers, raided the ground floor of a multi-storey apartment at 53 Purana Paltan and recovered the VoIP equipment including four Eurotaks (Channel Bank), three Quintum, one media converter and 170 SIMs of different companies including 10 Teletalk SIMs, 48 Aktel SIMs and 112 Banglalink SIMs. One Ahsanullah Nadim (35) was arrested from the spot.
