Vote fraud feared in 5th phase UZ polls

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday aired an apprehension of massive vote rigging in the fifth phase upazila (UZ) election slated for Monday. “Government supporters are preparing for massive vote rigging in the fifth phase, too,” he told a press conference at his Shyamoli residence in the evening. He alleged that the government snatched the victories of BNP-supported candidates in the previous four phases of countrywide upazila election that started on February 19, according to a news agency.
