Vote fraud to invite agitation: Rizvi
Wednesday, 26 February 2014
Apprehending vote fraud in the 2nd phase of upazila elections, BNP on Wednesday warned that they will stage strong demonstrations across the country in case of any polls manipulation. “The BNP candidates, leaders and activists are being attacked, harassed, and implicated in false cases over the upazila election. There‘ll be massive demonstrations across the country with processions if the Election Commission fails to ensure fair election on Thursday,” BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Wednesday. The BNP leader came up with the threat at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office. He asked the party men to make a list of those election officials involved in election irregularities and manipulation, according to UNB.
