Voter list update begins today

The Election Commission (EC) will start updating voter list in the country from today (Tuesday) in several phases, reports BSS.
"Those who will be 18-year-old will be included in the updated voter list to be published in 2020," EC secretary Helaluddin Ahmad told the news agency on Monday.
He said the first phase voter list update activities will begin from April 23 and to continue till May 13 in 135 upazilas/thanas and election commission officials will collect information visiting households.
Besides, the officials will collect information of those people who were left from the last voter list update activities, the secretary said.
