Voting under electronic system to take place in city

For the first time in the country's history, voting in a club election will take place through electronic system in the in the city Saturday, reports UNB.
Election to the executive committee of Officers' Club at Bailey Road in the city will be held with electronic voting machine (EVM), invented by the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Casting of vote in this system is very simple. It is to be done through pressing several switches instead of existing ballot paper and vote counting can also be done immediately.
