Wahidur Rahman new LGED Chief Engineer

Mr. Md. Wahidur Rahman, Additional Chief Engineer assumed the charge of Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Sunday.
Mr Wahid succeeds Mr. Md. Nurul Islam, former Chief Engineer, LGED who went on LPR with effect from today (Monday).
Wahidur Rahman obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Chittagong Engineering College in 1977. He did his Masters of Science in Irrigation Engineering from the Southampton University, UK in 1987.
Mr. Rahman joined LGED as an Executive Engineer in 1982. Later he became Project Director from 1993 to January 2002. He was promoted as Superintending Engineer in 2002 and became Additional Chief Engineer on 1 January 2008. Mr. Rahman received ADB's Performance Recognition Award as a Project Director of TRIDP in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
