Wall collapse kills two children in city

A pile driver fell off its rig at Dhaka’s Nababganj Upazila and led to the collapse of a wall , leaving two children dead.
The construction site mishap occurred around 12pm at the ‘Al Amin Madrasa’, police told bdnews24.com.
Nababganj Police OC Md Saidur Rahman said the dead have been identified as Mahmud Hasan, 5, son of Hashem Mia and Rahat, 7, son of Khurshid. Both of them hail from Bandura Village.
Rahat was a student at the madrasa.
They were playing just beside the boundary wall of the madrasa, where the piling work was going on.
The pile driver fell off its rig when the cable tore and crashed into the wall killing the two on spot, said OC Rahman.
Police has rushed to the spot.
Victim Rahat’s father alleged that his son died due to negligence of those involved with the construction.
