War crimes accused Shamsuddin held in M\\\'singh

War crimes accused Shamsuddin Ahmed has been arrested in Nandail Upazila in Mymensingh district on Thursday evening. Officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj police station Mir Mosharraf Hossain said: ‘Shamsuddin, , one of the two siblings accused in a war crimes case, was arrested around 7:30pm. He is being brought to Kishoreganj. Earlier on Nov 25, the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal finalised its report against the two brothers for their alleged involvement in crimes against humanity during Bangladesh’s independence struggles in 1971. Nasir Uddin Ahmed, alias Captain ATM Nasir, 65, a former army officer and brother of Shamsuddin, is now on the run. Shamsuddin is also a member of Mymensingh District Bar Association, according to private TV channels.
