'WARD' likely to cross Tamilnadu

The deep depression over the southwest Bay and adjoining area moved westwards and is likely to cross south Tamilnadu coast Monday noon, reports UNB.
The cyclonic storm 'WARD' moved south-southwestwards and weakened into a deep depression Sunday morning, a Met office special bulletin said.
It now lies over the southwest Bay and adjoining area and centred about 1770 kms south-southwest of Chittagong port, 1700 kms south-southwest of Cox's Bazar port and 1650 kms south-southwest of Mongla port at 1:00 pm.
"It is likely to move in a west-southwesterly direction and may cross south Tamilnadu coast Monday noon," the bulletin said.
Maximum sustained wind within 48km of the depression centre is about 50kmph rising to 60kmph in gusts or squalls. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal no one.
