Wari set final with Army in Independence Day Hockey

Wari Club set up final with Bangladesh Army in the Lyric Group Independence Day Hockey Tournament that will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city at 3:30 pm, reports UNB. State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Capt (retd) AB Tajul Islam will be the chief guest of the final and distribute the prizes. Earlier, in the day's first semifinal, Wari Club beat Bangladesh Navy by 6-1 goals. Ripon Kumar and Pushkar Khisa scored two goals each while Golam Mostafa and Ajit Kumar Ghosh netted one goal apiece for Wari Club. Shihab scored the consolation goal for Bangladesh Navy. In the day's 2nd semifinal, Bangladesh Army also posted a 6-1 goals victory over Sadharan Bima KC. Milon Hossain scored three goals, Abdul Malek two goals and Sanwar Hossain one goal for the Army while Rajon netted the lone goal for Sadharan Bima.
