Warid distributes flood relief in Manikganj

Warid Telecom Wednesday distributed relief materials among flood-affected people in Manikganj.
A Warid Telecom team led by CEO Muneer Faruqui handed over relief materials to 500 flood-affected people who took shelter at temporary flood camps in Manikganj Model School, Manikganj High School and Pashchim Dashara Primary School.
Warid team distributed relief packets including rice, lentil, salt, flattened rice, molasses, candle, match, oral saline, essential drugs etc among the flood victims.
Talking to the people at the shelter centres, Muneer Faruqui said, "Warid Telecom always wants to be beside the distressed people and help them. You will always find us beside you. We will do our best to help the flood-affected people."
Lt Col Fakhrul Ahsan of Joint Forces stationed in Manikganj, Manikganj SP Imtiaz Ahmed, ADC (General) Salauddin Ahmed and high government officials were present at the relief kit distribution programme. Among others, senior management and local franchise personnel of Warid Telecom were present.
As part of its massive flood aid programme, Warid has launched a SMS campaign to raise fund for the flood-affected people. Warid subscribers can donate Tk 10, Tk 20, Tk 50 and more through SMSs.
