Warid launches mobile phone service in CHT

Warid Telecom, the fourth largest mobile phone operator in Bangladesh, launched its mobile phone operations in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Tuesday to meet the needs of local people through its cutting-edge network.
The mobile phone service of Warid Telecom is now available in municipal areas of Ranagamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts in accordance with the directives of Bangladesh Government to cover all parts of the country, said a press release.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Warid Telecom Muneer Farooqui said, "We are very pleased to start our mobile phone services in CHT in compliance with the guidelines of BTRC."
"We sincerely hope that the people of CHT districts will enjoy our high quality service which is based on Next Generation Network (NGN) technology," Mr. Farooqui added.
With the launching of mobile phone service in CHT, the network of Warid Telecom, the fastest growing mobile operator in the country, now spreads to all the 64 districts.
