Warid Telecom ties up with 100 operators for international roaming services

In six months of its commercial operations, Warid Telecom International Limited in Bangladesh has expanded its international roaming services to 100 operators across 59 countries. This is the fastest roaming expansion in the world's GSM industry.
Subscribers can roam with Warid network and stay connected with their near and dear ones while visiting 59 countries including USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
At a function to celebrate the milestone, Muneer Farooqui, chief executive officer of Warid Telecom, said, "We are expanding locally and internationally at the fastest possible speed to reach more customers and meet their needs. We are also offering international roaming services with cent percent waiver on service charges to the Bangladeshi devotees who travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Holy Hajj this year."
Starting operations on May 10 this year,
Warid Telecom has expanded its network to 61 districts by adding five more districts under its coverage.
The sixth and youngest mobile company of the country has emerged as the fastest growing mobile company in the country by reaching 61 districts within six months of operations.
Satkhira, Barguna, Joypurhat, Kurigram and Netrokona towns are now under Warid network. The expansion has made its presence in all districts of Bangladesh except three hill districts.
The introducer of Next Generation Network (NGN) technology in Bangladesh, Warid Telecom's primary objective in the market is to ensure highest level of telecommunications service and customer care. So, expansion of Warid Telecom guarantees uninterrupted connectivity and absolute voice clarity.
Warid Telecom has achieved over 1.6 million active subscribers in six months of operations recording the fastest subscriber growth by a mobile company in Bangladesh. The achievement proves to overwhelming response of the people to Warid.
