Wasfia among Nat\\\'l Geographic\\\'s adventurers of the yr

Wasfia Nazreen, the 2nd Bangladeshi woman to scale Mount Everest, has been named as one of the National Geographic’s Adventurers of the Year. The list of the Adventurers of the Year was published on the National Geographic’s website on Friday afternoon. Every year it nominates 10 achievers from different fields for the annual award. According to National Geographic, Wasfia Nazreen had been nominated as one of the recipients of the honour for the year 2014 in recognition of her achievement in empowering Bangladesh’s women and girls though her campaign. On June 9, 2012, Wasfia became the 2nd Bangladeshi woman to conquer the world’s highest peak. Before her, Nishat Mazumder conquered Everest, according to a news agency.
